I often wonder while listening to Wild Child what it would have been like if it was recorded as it was origionally intended to have been by Motley Crue.

It has been said that Nikki thought the vocals were out of Vince's range. I'm not so sure I agree, but then again, he knows him a hell of alot better than me.

If memory serves, this situation is mentioned in the expanded liner notes of the re-released version of Last Command.

If it were done, it would most likely turn out in the fashion of the way Hellraiser did when Motorhead recorded it as to Ozzy's recording.

I think it would have sucked, but that's just my opinion.

I kinda have to agree with Sixx; the vocals are definately out of Neil's range.
Blackie Lawless have about an eight octave range, whereas Vince Neil has about a four note range.

Four note? Aren't you being a bit generous Miss Smack? Now, don't get me wrong, I'm another Crue fan from ways back, but I totally agree. I think it would sound totally different, but I'm not sure how.

For a good laugh, I was parusing the net last week on nightshift and clicked to metal-sludge. I'm not a huge fan of that site at all, but they had one thing that I thought was hysterical. It was mentioned about a new reality show. The link is here...

The other thing that I saw there that shows "How The Mighty Can Fall" was also there. It truely shows you how sad Vince has become. I'm feel for him on the weight thing, as I have fought that my entire life (currently I'm down 75lbs, thank you very much), but the drink has gotten way out of hand. Scroll down to the bottom section so you can check these audio files out...

Now metalsludge does their thing, and they do it well. In my opinion, some of their stuff is funny, some is not, and can offend some. These two things, I feel, are some of their best stuff.

Enjoy!

If Crue would have done it, it would have sucked. That is just classic WASP. I don't even want to think about Motley messing with that song.

Speaking of Motley, I had a weird thought. What would it be like if Mick actually sat in for a few WASP gigs? I think that might actually work.

Yes, but Mick has some sort of dread disease that's killing him. I doubt that he plays much anymore, or even moves if he doesn't have to. I can't remember the name of the disease, but it makes all of the tendons and ligaments in your body calcify. I'll look it up sometime if I remember to.

A recent update on the Motley site said that his sickness has been pretty much blown out of proportion. What you wrote was what I thought too. I believe it was on one of Nikki's updates.

A tribute to Mick...

I remember the axe from the Girls Tour, or at least pictures of the tour.

Hey, That would be cool if Mick joined Blackie and the guys for a little while.
I've heard that Mick is going out on tour with Motley Crue, So, He is still kicking ass inspite of that disease and I'm happy for him. Keep rocking Mick

Wild Child is a W.A.S.P. song. No one could sing it like Blackie does.
